Sarah Attia has enjoyed a life bursting with activity. It has included teaching, working in various industries, and travelling the world. She has spent time in around 41 countries, worked as a travel writer, learned criminal law (in order to advocate for social justice) and experienced deeply what many of the world’s cultures and people have to offer.
This might sound a bit demanding, but she says she found ‘peace in moments of serenity, simplicity, and balance’ during everything she did. The only problem was that, when she that she had to return home ‘the daily stressors and distractions… inevitably flooded her personal and professional life’. What she needed was a place ‘to ‘calm her senses, clear her mind, ground herself–to emerge better able to connect with herself and others’.
Somadome is the place she built. These are spaces for people to relax with the help of everything from a mixture of colour therapy, to binaural beats and microcrystalline tiles. You can visit a Dome location for a session or purchase one of the stylish Somadome spheres yourself. Once inside, you can forget about all your social handles, all your individual worries, the stresses of the world, and re-charge.
I recently arrived at a local fitness studio, ready to tone a muscle I'd ignored too long: my mind.
