Mini Bio

A lifetime activist for change, Sarah Collins became aware of inequality at a very young age growing up in Natal, South Africa. She has since spent her life fighting for change – for Africa and the world – starting with conservation, where she tirelessly worked for 15 years. After this, she turned her attention to the political, starting a political party that ran against the ANC.

This wasn’t enough for Sarah and she turned her mind to business as a method for change came. Her big idea is Wonderbag. It is a cooking pot with a difference – it is safer for the environment and for the women in many developing communities who do most of their cooking over open fires.

The Wonderbag has been developed to be able to cook food using less fuel and producing less fumes.

It is an innovation that can truly make a difference in the poorest communities
