Charoltte Ferguson’s inspiration come from within, from her own experiences, her own high standards and her desire to help others.

In her early 20s she was working in a hectic PR job. The stress of role was wracking havoc with her skin – and her overall mental wellbeing. She began seeing a psychotherapist to deal with her anxiety and depression – a successful process that led, eventually, to her returning to college to study psychotherapy. Once qualified, she began working for Britain’s Natural Health Service and a counselling charity for victims of domestic violence.

The passion with which she talks about this period in her life is awe-inspiring. However, balancing her own life, building up a private practice and her volunteering led to alopecia and cystic acne. Her inner stress had had a terrible effect on her skin.

She looked around for an array of solutions – diet, exercise, medicines – you name it, she tried it. She soon realised though that none of the skincare creams recommended were effective. It was at this point she realised she would have to create her own …and Disciple Skincare was born.

Disciple products are unique in that they work not only on the surface of the skin but the adaptogen rich formulas help the body and mind deal with internal stress too. Up to seventy per cent of skincare is absorbed into the body, making Disciple oils the perfect delivery system for therapeutic grade, stress-busting plant extracts.
