There are not many in the southern hemisphere who have not heard of Kendall Flutey, the co-founder and CEO of Banqer.

Kendall was named the Young New Zealander of the Year in 2019, an accolade that came after she had already won the Young Maori Business Leader Award. Her business, amongst other things, has been named Hi-Tech Start-up of the Year in New Zealand.

And why are all of these gongs going to Kendall? Well, the business she founded is transforming the teaching of finance and money management in schools all over the globe. Banqer’s innovative financial education platform gives primary and elementary students hands on experience with personal finances. Through an online classroom currency, Banqer gets kids everywhere curious, creative, and ultimately, confident with money.
