Mini Bio

Ida Tin is the CEO and Co-Founder of female health app Clue (, the free-to-download, free-to-use period tracking app, designed to help women around the world track their periods and better understand their bodies.

Ida launched Clue in 2013, as she felt that reproductive health is an incredibly foundational and central part of our lives, but there’s a real lack of clarity for women over this generally. This matters the moment a woman has her first period, and begins to manage that aspect of her life.

When Ida was about 30 she realised that her form of birth control wasn’t working for her, but was unsure of alternative options.

She thought it was insane that we were able to put a man on the moon, but we didn’t have a tool that would help us understand our body’s own patterns. This drove her to launch Clue – an app that could ‘clue’ people in with personalised health data to give them awareness of the unique patterns in their own bodies and their own cycles.

In March 2018, Clue launched a new website, which was in effect the first menstrual health hub, providing empathetic, reliable and scientifically accurate information regarding female health.
