Letizia Giofrida is the CEO and founder of Arthronica, a digital health tech start-up that spun-out from the bioengineering department of Imperial College London. The aim of the company is to use computer vision to prevent chronic pain and support doctors in diagnosis and treatment of arthritic conditions.

A bio-engineering researcher par excellence, Letizia took her masters degree at Universita degli Studie di Napoli Federico II. After a short stint in New York University of Medicine as an observer student, she attended Imperial College London in 2017 to begin a Phd in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.

Since Letizia launched Antronica in 2018 (while still studying!), she has won funding support from Research England, Entrepreneur First (an international talent Investor scheme which supports technology companies), and the Johnson and Johnson Innovation Centre.

It’s difficult not to be impressed by it all.
