She has a special interest in the Scandinavian region with a focus in Heath-Care Consulting, Nordic-Asia Business Cooperation, Biomedical Device Design, Biotechnology, Bio-Entrepreneurship and related industries.
With family in China, an educational background in America, and work and school experience in Scandinavia, Ran Ma is dedicated to bridging the commercial and cultural interests of these three regions. San Francisco-based Siren, a medical device maker company has developed a technology through which it is making smart, washable fabric wearables, has announced picking up $11.8 million as part of Series B financing. The round has been led by Anathem Ventures with participation from names like DCM, Khosla Ventures, 500 Startups, and Peter Thiel's Founders Fund.
